Job Description

Responsible for daily management and operations of regional outpatient departments. Provides administrative/clinical supervision to the program staff to ensure all services are delivered according to local, state and federal laws and in compliance with contractual requirements. Works with Director Service Line Leadership to develop strategic goals for outpatient programs and to ensure quality of care for all site Behavioral Health and ensure quality of care for all behavioral health participants.

Principal Responsibilities -

1. Provides direction to teams through clinical supervision and reviews, consultation, training and support to ensure contract compliance and program quality.

2. Evaluates supervisor and overall team performance on a regular and ongoing basis; use collected data and information to make needed improvements including adjustments to caseloads and work assignments to maximize quality of care, and staff productivity.

3. Work with Director to ensure that program goals (program, financial, personnel, professional development) are met.

4. Actively participates with Director in the development of program budgets and monitors program performance according to set budget guidelines.

5. Conducts semi-annual performance evaluations for counseling team; proactively identify and resolve performance issues. Recommends employees as appropriate for recognition or professional development.

6. Actively participates in the hiring and orientation process of new staff members.

7. Participates in professional development networks and associations to stay abreast of emerging trends and best practices.

8. Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Qualifications-

  1. Master's or Doctoral Degree in Social Work, Counseling or related human service degree
  2. LCSW or LPC license required
  3. 5+ years' experience providing counseling services
  4. Minimum of 5 years of supervisory/leadership management experience in behavioral health; clinical experience in outpatient setting. Proven ability to deliver effective behavioral health services.
  5. Certified Clinical supervisor or equivalent required.

  2. Strong diagnostic skills and knowledge
  3. Proficient in data analysis with strong ability to interpret and derive insights.
  4. Able to balance competing demands and maintain effective working relationships with staff, participants, volunteers, collaborators, and the public.
  5. Knowledgeable of regulations affecting the delivery of behavioral health services licensed through the NJ Division of Mental Health and Addiction Services, and under standards for the Joint Commission Accreditation
  6. Work effectively under pressure and occasional temporary increases in workload
  7. Computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office suite software a must.
  8. Strong organizational skills and timely follow-up to manage complex tasks
  9. Solid communication (written and oral), collaboration and intervention skills
  10. Able to effectively and respectfully resolve conflicts
  11. Proven ability to work successfully in a multi-cultural/multi-ethnic environment
  12. Upholds professional ethical standards, maintains appropriate boundaries and therapeutic relationships
