Business Manager

The Business Manager is responsible for assisting the department in meeting goals related to business operations. This position expedites radiology accounts through the billing process and oversees the daily workflow of clerical staff. In addition, the Business Manager is responsible for all aspects of imaging, data and reports, as well as oversight of the Respiratory departments at St. Anthony's Hospital and Good Samaritan Hospital.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Reviews radiology accounts to ensure that all charges match and are supported by documentation.

* Manages inventory and orders supplies. * Assists with employee-related issues.

* Oversees workflow and training of staff.

* Prepares employee corrective action notices for staff.

* Develops policies related to department business practices as needed.

* Maintains accurate patient information and reports.

* Tracks un-transcribed reports and takes appropriate action to correct.

* Coordinates dictation including special assignments of work.

* Faxes inpatient/outpatient reports to doctor's offices or patient floors; coordinates through EMAR.

* Reviews and resolves any outstanding PACS/RIS issues.

* Manages schedules for staff.

* Manages competency for staff.

* Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS:

Experience: 3-5 years of administrative experience in a healthcare setting required.

Education: Bachelor's degree required. Equivalent combination of experience and education may be substituted for degree requirement.
